MWENDO project is funded by USAID through the Catholic Relief Services aims at reaching out to vulnerable households with orphaned children through practical trainings and linkages that focuses on livelihood improvements through nutrition sensitive gardening, agro enterprises, business skill development trainings and enterprise selection including group saving and loan scheme. The project aims at improving the welfare and protection of children affected by HIV/AIDS in Nyanza. More specifically the project entails increasing access to health and social services for OVC and their families, strengthening capacity of households and communities to protect and care for OVC and to strengthen child welfare and protection structures and systems for effective responses in targeted counties and sub-counties
